Franchisors take note:

Due to recent changes to the Franchising Code of Conduct (“Code”), Franchisors must by 14 November 2022 create a franchise profile of themselves with the ACCC which publishes key disclosure information on the franchise.

These are information required to be disclosed under clause 8 of the Code.

Published franchise profiles are to be searchable by franchise buyers and public users as from 15 November 2022.

Note that penalty applies for non-compliance.
